Designing a hand blender is an exciting challenge because it involves balancing unique aesthetics with practical functionality. Given that it’s a small, handheld device, it is tricky to create a design that not only stands out in the market but also meets all the functional requirements. When we set out to design the Duroblend hand blender, we focused intensely on the design aspect. We wanted every detail to reflect both style and substance.
We explored various CMF (Color, Material, Finish) options to enhance the blender’s rugged nature while ensuring it looks modern and sleek. We tested multiple color schemes to find the perfect balance between bold and elegant. We also paid special attention to the finish, making sure it is smooth and easy to clean, yet resistant to fingerprints and smudges.
Every curve and joinery was meticulously designed and tested through numerous 3D prints and mockups to ensure the best ergonomics and comfort during use. The result is a hand blender that is not only highly functional but also a statement piece in any kitchen.
